Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. Who we are
This policy explains how RedMuse uses personal data when you visit redmuse.ai, contact us or book a call with us.
RedMuse is a trading name of LongPeak Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17457189). Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
LongPeak Limited is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@redmuse.ai.
2. What personal data we collect
- When you visit our website: technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring site.
- When you book a call: your name, email address, company, and anything you write in the booking form. Bookings are handled through Cal.com.
- When you email or message us: your name, contact details, job title, company and the content of your message.
- Business contacts: if we meet you, are introduced to you, or work with your company, we keep your name, role, company and work contact details.
- Public social media content: see section 5.
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health or religious beliefs) through our website, and our website is not intended for children.
3. How we use your data and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Running and securing our website (analytics only with your consent, see section 4) | Legitimate interests |
| Replying to your enquiry and arranging calls | Legitimate interests, or steps before entering a contract |
| Providing services to your company and managing our relationship | Contract, or legitimate interests where the contract is with your employer |
| Sending you occasional updates about RedMuse, where you are a business contact | Legitimate interests (you can opt out at any time) |
| Analysing public social media content (section 5) | Legitimate interests |
| Keeping business records and meeting legal obligations | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against yours. You can ask us for details of that assessment. We do not sell your personal data and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies.
- Strictly necessary: our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies to protect the site and keep it working. These do not need your consent.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found us. We use this information in aggregate, only to improve our website. It is not used for advertising, and we do not use it to identify you. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you click Accept on our cookie banner.
Your choice: if you click Decline, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.
5. Public social media content we analyse
RedMuse helps brands understand consumer demand by analysing publicly available posts and comments on social platforms such as RedNote (Xiaohongshu). This content may include usernames and what people have chosen to post publicly.
- Why: to identify trends, products and topics that consumers talk about, for our own research and for our clients. This is our legitimate interest.
- How we limit it: we report insights in aggregate. We do not build profiles of individuals, contact people we find this way, or use their content for advertising targeting.
- What we collect: only public content. We do not access private accounts or messages.
- Your choices: if you believe we hold content you posted, you can ask us to delete it or object to our use of it (section 7).
Because we do not collect contact details for these individuals, we provide this information here rather than contacting each person directly.
6. Sharing, international transfers and retention
Who we share data with. We use trusted service providers who process data for us under contract:
- website hosting, security and cloud infrastructure (including Cloudflare)
- call booking (Cal.com)
- website analytics (Google Analytics)
- email and business software (Google Workspace)
- AI model providers that help us analyse content and answer questions
We may also share data with professional advisers, or where the law requires it, or if our business is sold or restructured.
International transfers. Some providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as a UK adequacy decision (including the UK‑US Data Bridge) or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries and booking details | 2 years after our last contact, unless we start working together |
| Client and business contact records | Length of the relationship, then up to 6 years for legal and tax purposes |
| Website analytics | In aggregate; detailed data no longer than 14 months |
| Raw public social media content | No longer than 12 months; aggregated insights may be kept longer |
7. Your rights, complaints and changes
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to marketing at any time
- receive your data in a portable format, where this applies
To use any of these rights, email privacy@redmuse.ai. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please email privacy@redmuse.ai first. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy. We will update this policy when our services or the law change, and show the new date at the top. When the RedMuse product launches, we will add a section on how we handle data you enter into it.
